Does anyone of you feel the struggle to get up every morning? I mean when you find it just too comfortable to lay down a little bit more in bed than to kick your feet off the sheets. I felt that early this morning. At the back of my mind I was saying like ‘oh, here we are again’ and ‘I don’t want to get up and face my problems’ and ‘can I just sleep over this and wake up again the next day?’ I was on serious mental battle subconsciously. Until Psalm 118:24 rang louder than my alarm clock. “This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Does this sound familiar to you too? It might be overused too, but that verse never ceases as what the Lord has said.

As humans, our very nature tends to react on what should be comfortable for us. And under circumstances (big or small), more often than not, we react in fear, worry, doubt, grumble, or even question God. This verse simply reminded me a reason to get on my bed and literally rejoice in the Lord. I mean, God is not blind not to see my (your) circumstance or whatever that is you are going through. He is not neglecting me amidst of it neither are my requests. (Does he ever? Never.) The very reason you and I are alive today is one proof that He is mindful of us. Instead of waking up in the morning and the first thing that you can think of is edifying your needs and how big your problems, look up to God. Rejoice in the day He has given you and in Him who is greater than what you go through. Your day is not all about how big your problems are, but how big your God is. Be glad that this and every single day that you are alive is another day that you can witness God’s wondrous works in your life and behalf your circumstance. This is a day God has made for you to encounter Him more than anything else. That no matter what is going on in your life; know that He is still in control of everything. He is in control of each and every single day of your life. He will not let you go out of His sight.
