There is a path that is less taken. A path neglected. And if not, it is mostly taken only as a last resort…

As I’m writing this blog, I’m thinking of what exactly to come out of this. What do I really want to share with all of you? What inspires or motivates me today? I have shared a lot of things with you from the beginning of this blog, posts about love, life, travels, decisions, happiness and many more. But for this blog, I’ll share the path I chose to take and where I am now and what it brought me as I made that decision. I used to think that I have no choice in life when things turn out bad for me, especially for my career. I was so fixated that I just have to settle with where I am now just because my dreams seem so difficult to reach. I thought the consequences of my bad decisions will go on with me forever. But it isn’t how it is. If you will live tomorrow there sure is a new chance for you to do better. I used to see my self in a crossroad where I have to choose if I will just be content with what I have now, and that means not living my dreams, or I will take a risk and try. But now, I am no longer on a crossroad. I was given a chance to do the right things. A chance to believe again and live on the dreams that I have, and a choice to stand and overlook the possibilities of it to happen because I am okay with “okay” and I fear to fail again. I chose to try again. I see myself now like I’m driving on a highway. It is exciting and scary at the same time. But as I keep going, I am getting tired. I can see the road signs ahead giving me a heads up of what I may see or encounter. But I cannot foresee the entire situation. Just warnings. I realized that this decision not only cost me my time, effort but also my faith or the lack of it. The signs I see on the side or sometimes the absence of it made me prepare and be precautious. What’s ahead of me is uncertain. What is ahead of all of us is uncertain. But once you believed and tried, you also remind yourself why and why not try again. No matter how uncertain the future is, there is no going back once you already started. I battle within myself not to stop even if I’m tired of driving for hours, figuratively speaking. I have to remember why I started. Of why I took this path. It sure is not easy every single time. As I pass through, it is not just warnings signs that I can see but also U-turn signs and beautifully posted ads on billboards or tarpaulins. Let’s face it. Peers, fears, and comfort, you name it. It sure is enticing to have these reasons or more as a way out or to stop. Who doesn’t want comfort anyway, right? Who does likes to be left out not living like most people? Or just the fact that you want things to happen your way or how you expect it to be. It makes me feel like I am living in Las Vegas and all I can see are flashing enticing lights. But the truth is, it is not my final destination. No, not yet. I just actually have to pass by. Everything is good or seems to be good or look good until you went into it you knew its worth and quality. You only not wasted your time and effort to reach your goals but also the chance to get there one step ahead. Sometimes when you know deep down in your heart it’s wrong, just don’t. DON’T. Don’t even try to look at the tempting signs and U-turns. I realize how important focus is. Not just in your dreams or goals or such but in the practical things you do. Your focus on the road while driving. Your focus on the person you’re talking to. Your focus on your task for the day. Your attention to the teacher that is speaking. Your focus to the book you’re reading. When you want to get it done, get it done. The same way as how you want to see the end of your goal. Get through it. See through it. Focus on the end game not what looks like paradise but isn’t. Set your mind ready to reach the goal and not focus on how tempting the U-turns are. There was a day that I beat myself over the fact that I have lesser time with my circle because I need more time to earn for a living. I can’t do most of the things I want to do during my rest days because I need more time to really literally rest. I’m laughing at myself now just thinking about the things I let go and sacrificed just because I chose the hard way. I never thought that this could just be the first phase that I need to go through. I still have a lot of things to sacrifice and go through to be where I want to be. I just need to learn to let go and adjust to find my groove in this. In reality, we mostly tend to focus on what we feel, and what we think we shouldn’t, I speak to myself too in this. This is our default as humans. I wanted to do the things and have the things I want my way or how I see it. But life isn’t like that. It is never in our control what is going to happen. What we can only control are our choices. Now I still have to choose again to keep this car moving forward. Even if I have to remind myself to try and go on every day, I will. If I get tired, pause. If I’m being challenged, take courage. If the world I’m living in is tempting to quit, refocus on the goal.

There are only a few who take the path of discomfort for greatness and success. And the people who will say otherwise about taking it wants you to be discouraged and pull you down with them. They are afraid to try. They are contented within their comfort zones. They are not willing to make necessary sacrifices to be where they want to be. As they say, great things happen outside of your comfort zones. So go! Be those few who take the path that will lead you to who and where you want to become. We all have different paths. And what stages we are in are different from each other. So take heart you are not alone in this world. Be brave. Move, if you don’t want where you are now. You and I still have a long way to go so don’t quit.

REMEMBER WHY YOU STARTED.

Now I need to end this post here because I still need to earn for a living. Chow!
