If you have read the previous updates of the last two trips I had this blog completes my epic yet memorable summer getaway this year. From Lakawon Island to Dumaguete City, now let me share with you the wonders of Siquijor Island.

From the port of Dumaguete it takes almost an hour and a half hour to reach the island by ship, and 30-40 minutes by fast craft. We only have a limited time for the day so we took the first trip of Oceanjet. Which is the only fast craft liner. It only has one and a half hour interval for the next departure.

Touchdown Siquijor. Hello Paliton Beach.

Uncrowded and unpolluted, this is just the perfect beach to go swimming or simply sit under these coconut trees and watch the blue calming sea. There is no entrance fee here and also there are stores along the coast where you can buy food and drinks.
Passed by Capilay Spring Park at San Juan. One of the common places people go to and swim since its waters are all natural.

Also, dropped by Hapitanan Grill and Resto at Lazi with their hashtag #wherehappytanan which mean where everybody is happy.
Siquijor is known for its magical abilities, which is why it is also called as”The Mystic Island of Fire”. The broomstick is what most people know as the witch’s ride. Who would really know? This broomstick experience is a must try. 😃

Also in Lazi where you will see the Century Old and famous Balete Tree. It is believed that these 400-year-old trees are where the sorcery rituals are performed.

Truly the vibe is enchanting. 😱😍

Soaking your feet on the water, you will also get to experience their fish spa.

This old church in Lazi was the first church built on the island from 1891 year. (Thanks to our tour guide for the information)

Appreciating these vintage walls of Bahay na Bato.

Enough sightseeing cause my body is calling for a swim.

Heading straight to the falls isn’t really that far. They also don’t have entrance fees only donations and parking fees.

Third stop at Lazi is this beautiful Cambugahay Falls. It has three tiers about ten feet deep.

I just can’t get enough of these clear blue water.

Wishing for more beaching but every summer story has an ending but the fun does not stop.

This deep blue sea of Salagdoong beach will surely be missed. It makes me want to jump for the last time but we still have a trip to catch.

Last stop before going home.
Experience Larena Triad Restaurant. Good food, good place.A must visit!👍
I would want to wake up everyday with this beautiful view outside my window.
I can almost touch the clouds here.
And again, coffee on top of the hill. Always coffee! Another perfect afternoon with this view behind me.

This now ends my summer getaway. But the adventure doesn’t stop. Living in the Philippines is a challenge if you want to travel a lot to the beach because of its different climate seasons. But then wherever you are and what season it is always carry a sunshine with you.
