Here I am hiding, curled up at the corner of this room, crumbling and at loss for words to say. If each tear could speak on my behalf, You would know O, Lord every word in my heart unspoken. When only finding this corner as my safety, I say underneath my breath, Lord, hold me. Again and again, Lord; hold me. When I am afraid the most of myself if I can do what You’ve called me to do and when I’m afraid of what’s yet to come, Lord, hold me. Lord, hold me, even though I face what’s in front of me headstrong yet, You know deep inside of me I am trembling in fear. Lord, hold me when only You can hold my hand and won’t ever let go. And I know You’re the only One who could ever take me as I am and hold me still. Lord, hold me in Your loving arms, and I’ll come running for safety. Lord, hold me. I have no one else besides You and apart from You who could ever put my heart and mind to rest. Lord, hold me; when I’m tired and weary, but I can’t stop here yet. When what You are about to do are great things, and how You are far more fulfilling than my weariness. Lord, hold me; for when my heart is faint, lead me to the Rock that is higher than I. I hold onto You, my refuge, my strong tower.

Verse Reference:

1 Hear my cry, O God,
listen to my prayer;
2 from the end of the earth I call to you
when my heart is faint.
Lead me to the rock
that is higher than I,
3 for you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the enemy.
4 Let me dwell in your tent forever!
Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings!
